Dear Residents,
The Board of Directors met yesterday to review the decision
related to amenity closures. The group discussed the possibility of
opening up amenities such as the pool deck and 240 Lounge. Prior to the
meeting, Evo Board was able to review comments and suggestions from residents
regarding re-opening amenities. All emails and ideas were
appreciated. We are also aware of residents against re-opening for now
because of the remaining risk to spread the virus. Multiple options were carefully
reviewed, ranging from no pool re-opening to opening with restrictions, pool
deck only and even considering appointments. The group is extremely
sensitive and aware of the current limited outdoor space and ultimately, they hope
to re-open the pool and other amenities as soon as it is safe. At
the same time, the LA County Health Officer released attached new order last
week relating to the Safer at Home order. Please reference paragraph 7
(i) with respect to the continued closure of community centers and pools and
the specific mention of homeowners associations as being included in this
closure. With the recommendation from the HOA Attorney and in order to
meet the requirement from the County of Los Angeles, it was decided to keep the
pool closed for now. However, the Board is committed to monitor the
situation and will review the decision when the order is updated even if it is before
the next monthly meeting scheduled on May 28th.
We will provide an update following the next review.
Thank you and stay safe.
